Acquaintance

I met a new friend last Monday and it was fun. I am so used to meet ups and eye balls. I feel glad that the job for 4.5 years had thought me the socialization skills. I just hope to overcome the judgmental attitude. Sarrryyy na! I wisely choose strangers to be friended. I meet roughly 10-15 new people every month. They are mostly customers that end up being friends with me (not all of them though). Others became acquaintance because of fan girling, random chat or social media encounter, and introduction to friends of friends/relatives. I enjoy hearing their stories. I am much of an interrogator or listener rather than being the person talking about oneself. I believe I have sense of humor. I would enjoy talking to myself. Haha. I also give sound advices. Advices I do not follow. Sorry na. Haha. There you go. I proclaim that I am a friend for keeps. Hihi. Cheers to new friends to come! :)

Sheppard Manila

I am not a fan of the band Sheppard but I hugely adore their hit song, Geronimo. When I found out that they will be having a concert in Manila, I already included their show date in my calendar. Even though I only know one song from the band, I'd exert effort just to hear Geronimo live. The song is part of my happy, good vibes playlist.

Yesterday after work, I go immediately in MOA Music Hall to catch the 6pm showtime which I know won't start on the dot. On my way there, I listen to their spotify page. I am just in time for the pre-show wherein DJ Guji spins the popular edm tracks. On the venue, I purchase 3 Nescafé Smoovlatte worth 35php each in exchange of one ticket to get inside the barricade. Worthy enough for a great night of fun music with little dancing and jumping in between. The show started at around 8pm and lasted for an hour.

Sheppard Live in Manila Setlist

Halfway to Hell
Hold My Tongue
Smile
Let Me Down Easy
Something's Missing
These People
Rude
Flying Away
The Best Is Yet To Come
A Grade Playa
Geronimo
Lingering
Find Someone

As said, I don't know all other songs except Geronimo. Yet I have enjoyed the whole concert. Their songs are of catchy lyrics and of beautiful melody. My additional personal favorites are Let Me Down Easy, The Best Is Yet Come, and A Grade Playa.

The band is crowd friendly, appreciative, and with contagious energy. They are very admirable and easy to love.

Here's my top Sheppard concert memories.

1) George uttered a Tagalog sentence "Salamat sa pakikinig ng aming musika" (if I remember it right).
2) Amy Sheppard telling about Filipinos in their hometown in Papua New Guniea watching pera o bayong.
3) Let Me Down Easy song participation of the crowd.
4) George requesting the audience to stand low then jump high to rock and roll in the chorus of Geronimo.
5) George throwed his sweaty (but still mukang mabango) shirt in the audience.
6) Fans selfie. This has been popular in instagram for the music artists. However small are you in the photo, you'll still feel in awe to land in your idol's ig post and be part of an epic music celebration.
7) They were generous enough to grant the crowd with two encore songs after chanting "we want more".

Aaaah there's too much to love about these guys! I had a great time. PCD starts now.

GP

Last Sunday, I realized that I can still be attracted to guys that are normal. By normal I mean not the following scenarios:

1) admire men who are at their 30s, newly married or beginning to raise a family
2) felt attached with a teenager; coz I'm like 25 years old already. Even dating a 19 year old lad (last teen age) will feel awkward
3) fall in love with guys of same age bracket who are in a relationship

The past blog posts have said enough about heart breaks (mostly unconsciously) brought by the people described above and the heart aches due to the craziness, clinginess, and being over thinker of the girl who writes this.

Yesterday, I happened to had an unexpected encounter with someone as real as my high standard, ideal, close to non existent kind of man. Let's call him GP.

GP is single. This should have been on the top of the criteria. Always. All ways.
No.2 guy was single but he is way younger than me.

GP is of same age bracket.
No.3 guys are of my age bracket but they were already engage in a long term relationship.

GP is a lawyer. Surely he's a smart guy.
A guy from no.1 is my favorite lawyer, married recently, father of a new born baby.

Faith is always important to me. GP is a devoted catholic. He also sponsors outreach programs usually during his bday.
A guy from no.3 is also from a family of religious people.

GP is a foodie. He's been going around trying food chains and restaurants in the metro. I'm not much of an eater but I always enjoy discovering something new to visit and taste.

GP is a book worm. His choice of books are categorize from nationalism, life and happiness, and young adult fiction. We can tag along in book stores and book cafes.

Enumerating standard checklist that he was able to passed:
1) must graduate from a popular university
2) must have a professional license
3) must not be a jejemon, must type complete words on text message, must be grammatically aware.
4) must have a good sense of humor (but Rx is still my favorite when it comes to wittiness)
5) he wears glasses. So we can have the same bulag problem feels.
6) must be slightly smarter than me (slight lang, with conviction)
7) he has a nice first and last name

Bonus points are 1) He has a talent in photography 2) he is a good writer 3) he likes mango cake 4) he likes Sheeran.

Then I am giving minus point because I am not sure if he is athletic. Being basketball enthusiast is a deal for me. Also he have not met the gwapo level but he is pogi naman especially if with eyeglasses.

Oo na judgemental na ko. At least I have prove that my ideal standards can still be met. Wala kaming future ni Attorney but still my experiment has worked. Fudge!

7 Reasons

Enumerating reasons why I am happy today. After an exhausting morning meeting, I chose to go back in the office instead of going to Sucat. Seems I made the right choice. Hihi. Because...

1. Conversations with my favorite lawyer is always a good time. As much as I wanted to remember what happened earlier, I just cannot put the details into writing. Every minute of it was just fun and worthy. Thank you Atty.for making me smile and laugh today. I am reminiscing everything while typing this and I cannot stop smiling.

2. Buy one take one Starbucks iced coffee and free donuts from PJ. Thankful for discounted and free food. Team always gutom. Haha. And the kwentuhan in between was LOL moment. Glad to be around fun loving officemate friends.

3. Googling every possible UN National costume peg to replace Korea for staff meeting outfit. Spent an hour to search the web for easy but outstanding dresses. I wanted Greece costume if only Greek Gods style are allowed.  Ended with Samoa and China as final choices. Planned to go to Divi already for costume hunt. Until the text blast from HR told that the theme was changed to FIFA World Cup. Kbye. Haha

4. PJaymee is so back. I'm glad how my friend finally admit about being kilig and we were not able to hear the "nakamove on na ko" statement. I am happy seeing people get kilig and hearing mushy babaw stories. Weeee!

5. Session with my favorite girls updating each other lives. Project Jinky on the works. Lezdothis!

6. I don't know why my heart feels uneasy today. I don't know if I had to blame it on venti coffee or to my overthinking self. Hihi. I am worried about you since yesterday. It felt normal again when I was able to know that you are safe. I miss you but I don't like to talk to you. Can you at least miss me too? HAHA.

7. The exchange message with the best friend potential made me smile. Won't be sharing about him for now.

Laser Thug Tugs

Work hard, play hard as they said and so we did. The company is generous enough to allot each employee of quarterly budget for night out. For the past four years, our night outs are mostly videoke and buffet. We also tried enchanted kingdom, bowling, cruise, and swimming. We wanted it different this time. We could've get ideas from other department such as spa, movie, ice skating, and staycation. Until the heads finally agreed that we try Laser Tag. Yey! They were not able to join us in the game though. So yah, I've been wanting to try laser tag ever since it was operated in the nearby malls. Also because of Barney Stinton's love for the legendary game. Hihi.

No Bully Zone :( HAHA
It was Tuesday night when we headed to Laser Maxx Arena in Greenhills. At 190php per person per game, we enjoyed the laser tag war. We played for two rounds. We are group to blue team vs green team thru maiba taya way.

CCD Briefing about the game
The activity started thru game briefing flashed on a screen. The aim is to shoot as many laser as you can to the members of your opponent group within the 15 minute period. The light indicator that we had to target was located in shoulders, middle front, and back body with corresponding points on each part depending on difficulty level.
BLUE Team
GREEN Team
On the next room, the laser tag gear is located which is a vest wherein the gun is connected. The vest corresponds to each user name. You can monitor thru the gun the activities made in arena, if you are able to tag the opponent or vice versa. When any member of the other team has tagged you, the light indicator will pass out for a few seconds and you will not be able to shoot. The gun will allow you to monitor if the laser becomes active again. Make sure that you hold the gun with both hands for it to be functional.

The game started and we were like kids running, shouting, hiding, and playing laser in the dark. We are full of competitive spirit and bullying mood. Haha. The activity was actually tiring yet it was pure fun. The blue team ended as loser in which I am part of. Haha. Congrats green minded people.
GAME 1 Score. Gauntlet reprhruzent! (that's meh)

Winning Team!!! Libreeee :D
Loser ;(
CCD Fambam. We miss you Sarah prinsesa
We cap off the night on a sumptuous dinner in Gerry's Grill.
Then as usual I was the last person to be send at home. South problems. Hihi.
