Daydreamer meets Dreamboy

Meet my new love, Rez Toledo! ♥

Since he started his Astroplus shows, it's always been my plan to go. Natuloy lang ako just recently in Astroplus Megamall. Sa office palang, they were already teasing me that I'll be having a date since I'll be working halfday only. Nyaha. So, at around 2pm, I went to SM. I actually don't know what time exactly Rez will be performing. So, I just stroll  around the area. I was expecting Champ to be with him also, but I fail to bring my Synergy album. Autograph opportunity sana. Anyway, while buying my Somedaydream shirt, Rez came in. All I heard was 'Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah'! Imagine, girls shouting na kinikilig! ♥ So, I assume he's really gwapo in person. Relax lang ako, dahil I'm alone. But I still join the crowd while watching him perform. He comes to his cute stage (insert sound of the shouting girls again), he started singing, I'm mesmerized. Aaaaaaaw, my dream guy. It's my heart that shouts. I had this admiration for certain chinitos, and he's perfectly qualified! <3 I actually see Mr.LoveatFirstSight in him. Back to show, ayun, nakijamming na din kahit solo flight ako. He sang 5 songs, good compositions indeed. He plays guitar, then piano. Aaaaaw. I'm melting. 'Hey Daydreamer' really suits me. Hahaha. After the show, we lined up for the M&G. I met a 13 year old dreamer, named Myka. That's a bonus when you attend gigs, meeting new friends. It's cool because we also found out that we are schoolmates. Falcon, let's go! While waiting for our turn in the autograph signing, we talk about Somedaydream, of course. Then, the organizers gave us paper so Rez can identify what to write in our posters. And I realized that our name rhymes. Jez meet Rez, Rez meet Jez. Ang cute lang. Kinilig na ko nun. Ang babaw lang. Haha. Then ayun, autograph, picture. He's nice. I wanted to say something, but I was speechless. Starstruck. Sabi ko nalang, 'rhyme yung name natin no'. He answered 'oo nga no' yata. After the Rez moment, I wanted to approach Cher for photo but I was shy and no one will take the picture. So I look for Myka and her mom, they're outside, and woah, Kuya Champ was there. Sayang nga lang wala kaming photo. If only I brought my Synergy album, kwento opportunity sana. Well, anyway, it's refreshing to see Kuya Champ again. Nakakagood vibes. Parang kailan lang, nung student pa ko pumupunta ako sa gig ng Hale, ngayon manager na sya, engineer na ko. We're both older and happier. And that daw was indeed blogabble, haha, I mean unforgettable kaya dapat nasa archives. :) Thank you Lord!

Owl City is real fab. I've been singing this song throughout the day! :) And I love it even more when my crush liked it in my Facebook post! :)) I'm kilig! I bet he's not reading this post.

My Band

1 - Go to wikipedia and hit random. The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to quotationspage.com and hit random. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”. Third picture no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use photoshop or similar (picnik.com is a free online photo editor) to put it all together.

5 - Post it with this text in the "caption" and TAG the friends you want to join in.

SPONGE COLA love

From my livejournal blog site dated April 30th, 20:22:

Songs they create, we can definitely relate,
Performances they made were really great,
OPM fans has more reasons to celebrate,
Now that SPONGE COLA music was continued to be shared.
Good rhythms and magnificent lyrics, we truly appreciate,
Every track they released gave us Last Song Syndrome days.
Captivating songs + wonderful personality brought them to success,
Outstanding achievements they received made us fans proud to say that... "SPONGE COLA is the best".
Loving them inspires our lives in different ways,
Armo, Yael, Gosh, and Chris...in my heart you'll always stay! =)

One for Hale,Hale for all =)

From my livejournal blog site dated April 3rd, 9:35

They caught my attention ever since the first single because of the catchy sound of their music. And it was the man on vocals that made me became more interested. I easily appreciated “Broken Sonnet” because of its beautiful melody. Thus, I find myself always tuning in the station whenever the song is playing. But the syndrome started when “The Day You Said Goodnight” was released and soon became popular. That was the time when I felt that a part of me belongs to HALE. Since then, I started searching and reading articles about the band. I was so glad when I found out that my cousins love them too. Thus, the opportunity to watch Hale perform came. I was with my cousin when I first saw the band. It was the Listers Grand Eyeball at Aliw Theater. Of course, first times are always memorable. I remember, we are the early birds in the venue and gotcha, we saw Champ and Sheldon coming. Meet and greet plus picture opportunity. That was so happy, unforgettable moment, feels like I’m on a high. It was officially the beginning of my Haler life. I started availing their albums, meeting co-Halers, watching gigs/concerts, reading more articles about them, watching out for the music videos, and especially listening to the music they create. I enjoy being a fan, being friends of Hale. Today, I continue to support the band, as always I am updating myself on what’s latest about them. Hale certainly knows how to make Halers smile. =) Champ, Sheldon, Roll, Omnie/Pao---HALE, my inspiration. I am pleased to say: “One for Hale, Hale for all.”

Slow Down

Since I was a child, I considered myself as a music lover. Up to this day, I am a typical teenager who appreciate OPM bands. I never thought I would major love them, that I found myself as a fan turned stalker.

The early days was "What I see, is what I get", but when I got starstruck by Yael Yuzon, vocalist of Sponge Cola, my fanatic lifestyle became "The more I research, the more I can get." I guess that was the start of my life as a stalker. The early gig moments was exciting and fun filled, especially when I get the chance to talk to them and take pictures with them. There were times that I attend two gigs per week. I never regret those days that the band made me happy, the days when they let me feel that I'm a friend, and not just an ordinary fan. Of course, I get the chance to meet co-listers, wherein we called ourselves as gig mates, the friendship we built is truly treasured. During those times, I'm always present when there's a gig around the metro. Even though it would be my first time to go to a certain place, I would make efforts just to know where it is, because I know I'll be happy.

One day, I felt everything has changed, I can't decide immediately if I'll attend the gig though the location is few meters away from me. That happened when I felt my study habits was suffering, when I felt afraid as I go home late, when I refuse to join my barkada in a hang out because I'm going to attend a gig the next day, when I spend lots of cash as I travel to different places. Since then I decided just to slow down,to say no. A gig mate once told me,when we were deciding whether or not to attend the gig "Parang ngayon ko nararamdaman yung pagod, parang sayang yung efforts kasi hindi naman natin sila masyado nakakausap." After sharing our dilemmas, I tried to ignore gig scheds, and I felt fulfilled when I can't miss the band, and when I don't envy my gigmates who have attended the gigs.I overcome my attachment to them. It's back to normal, I'm now once a stalker, and now back to being a proud supporter. It felt so good that I had take it slow.

Anyway, I would like to thank the band for appreciating me the way I appreciate them, and especially the gig mates who'll forever be my friends. To my favorite band members, Yael of Sponge Cola, Yan of Pupil/Archipelago, Champ of Hale, thank you for making my fanatic life such an awesome experience. I'll see you in next gigs.
