My much loved song of John Mayer is Daughters. It's too simple yet too perfect, from lyrics, to melody, to the meaning of the song, to John Mayer's voice which is terribly awesome. I love it because it talks about a girl, particularly a daughter, and I am one. For me, the significant message of Daughters is in the chorus that says " Fathers, be good to your daughters, Daughters will love like you do, Girls become lovers who turns into mothers, So mothers, be good to your daughters too." It says that fathers need to cherish their relationship with their daughters as they grow up, because it will affect on how a lady will perceive a man on adulthood. In a relationship, a girl is fragile yet tough, it is important for fathers (and mothers) to show their daughters a good perspective about love, because little girls will eventually be lovers in the future.
