The 1975 MNL

I'd rather spend my money on concerts than on traveling. Maybe because it is more emotional to travel alone than watching concert with yourself. At least when watching concerts, you are around the people who have the same taste of music and artist with you. Rather than when you travel alone, you will find yourself surrounded with group of friends, couple, or families. Hashtag hugot. Haha.

On January 24th, I attended my first concert for 2015. The 1975 MNL. Woohoo!

I first heard about their group when they visited Manila last year. There was an awesome response from social media that's why I get intrigued why this group was popular. Myx VJ Chino Lui Pio, whom I know had a great taste for music also mentioned about how good The 1975 is. Lately, I found out that Jake Cuenca and Anne Curtis were fans of the The 1975 also.

I came upon to Girls and Chocolate in Spotify's Top 100 and easily get in love with the songs. It is very timely that MMI produce their comeback concert in a bigger venue in Manila. Thus, I did not hesitate to buy tickets for the show.

Then today happened. Just another surreal, for the books, happy experience. The 1975 is incredibly awesome. Matt Healy is amazingly adorable. I love how he is very much comfortable on stage and how he reaches out to the audience. This group is on the road to more success.

Random stories are 1) founding ourselves from gen ad to upper box seat, 2) when Matty asks the crowd to keep silent and then the crowd responded sssshhh and Matty told that sssshhh is actually more noisy, 3) Matty drinking and smoking and being insane, insanely hot on stage, 4) that awkward moment when fans chant "we want sex,we want sex" which is a song from The 1975 then Matty says "you have no idea".

It was indeed a nice kick off for my concert plans for 2015. Unless I'll be able to have a jowa this year, then we choose to travel instead. Or we can still choose to watch concerts together.
Post concert depression starts today!
